Introduction

Sustainable business practices, community involvement as well as safeguarding its employees’ welfare have always been part and parcel of Hap Seng Plantations’ guiding principle since its entry into Oil Palm planting in the early 1980s.

As such, much investment and time were made to its CSR commitments as reflected in its dedication to Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principles and Criteria that requires efficient plantation practices, sound industrial & labour relations, caring human resource management and attractive amenities, medical and industrial safety, high concern for environmental sustainability and obligations for biodiversity conservation.

Guided by these values and beliefs, Hap Seng Plantations’ CSR initiatives include both social and environmental progress and achievements, and these include our community involvement, sustainable business practices via its RSPO adoption as well as for its employee welfare approach.
